Rae Cecil

In 1980 I moved to Sussex and joined a group of artists who worked in the countryside and it was at that time that I started seeing shapes in nature. This started me working in collage. First using spare photographs and then found materials.
My ideas stem from seen images, words and emotions and are worked up from small sketches to a final piece of work. I am combining acrylics, calligraphy and collage in my ongoing project preservation. At present I am using mixed media and transparent layers.
