For more than twenty years I worked as a healthcare professional in Psychiatry and then in General Nursing. In parallel, I always maintained my studies within painting, printmaking and various other art disciplines. In 1995 I took the decision to leave a very successful career with the Management Executive of the Department of Health in order to pursue full time art education. I trained at Eastbourne School of Visual and Performing Arts and the University of Brighton where I gained a BA (hons) in Fine Art: Painting.

I now live in Eastbourne on the South Coast of England where I also have my studio. My experience of working within the arena of psychology, psychoanalysis, and with those suffering physical illness, has frequently fed into my work. The majority of recent paintings have, for instance, focused on the theme of memory.

My paintings have been purchased for public, corporate, and private collections both in England , Italy , Brazil and Mexico . These include American Express, Brighton, the Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine, London , the City Council of Castel Bolognese, Italy and the Museum of Modern Art , Faenza , Italy .
